The Ship: Explorer

Here is the Explorer, lying at anchor by Brown Bluff. Captain Kruess was a superb ship-handler, and also a naturalist, so he made our time on the bridge (open to our 140 guests 24/7) a lesson in sighting whales, penguins, seals, plus sea state, wind speed, and even a small leak in the hull. The crew mended it at sea.

Our room was #303, a one-port-hole cabin in the bow of a ship, the lowest rung of a very high-end adventure. Nonetheless, our accomodations were lavish, as was everything aboard. Not too many photos, but some.
