Campgrounds go from utilitarian to sublime,
but are always essential.

First one was the Bras d'Or Campsite near Baddeck,
where we began and ended the Cabot Trail ride.

No pictures of the campground near Ingonish.
No excuses, but at least one photographer was plain tuckered out by climbing Cape Smokey.

Hide-Away Campground
near Cape North,
was stupendous,
with strong winds,
sunrises,
horseshoes, &
nearby sea kayaking
(no pics, sorry).

We camped here
three nights.

Okay, Rob yawns at sunrise,
but it's a "great to be here & it's early" yawn!

Between North Mountain & MacKenzie/French Mountains,
we camped at Macintosh Brook Campground.

No pics of campground at Chetticamp.
Next night, back to Bras d'Or for for our last night on Cape Breton.
Through serendipity, we found King Neptune Campground on a peninsula not far from Halifax.
