boot by door packing up camp first night water at midnight kayaks over water waiting under tarp tent in bushes low tide

In the morning, all was serene.
The tide was out... until all was repeated the next night.

Beautiful, and memorable!

We were lucky (or unlucky) to be out during the summer solstice with its new moon and very high tides.
Accomodating beaches were scare. Several great minds pondered the meaning of seaweed lines!

Cold, wet, anxious but smiling, we huddled together under the tarp and watched. We finally decided to move our tents into the bushes.

High tide was around midnight.
The water crept up & under the kayaks.
